O daughter of Pandora,
You threw open the door to evils
And led me into a world of darkness
Mystified I was by your charms
The beauty and grace
That paralysed my senses,
And I was such a fool
To run into your trap
Knowing that you could never be trusted
But still so enchanted,
That I could not help but follow you
Without a word
And let you rule my world
But you betrayed
I do not blame you though
Because nature made you so.
Still wasn’t quenched
Your thirst for attention
And you cried and wailed
That I had destroyed you
And dishonored your womanhood
By trampling upon your dignity
And claiming your dreams
As though they were my possessions.
Still the world worships your race
As the symbol of maternal love
Great is she who nurtures
The heir of mankind
Inside herself,
She has the privilege to feed my child
Every moment,
I am disowned of my own creation,
But can she erase the truth
That my heart cries too
When my son hurts his toe,
But they can see your tears
Mine are invisible
Lucky are those
Who can find a shoulder to cry on
You have always had mine.
But my tears
Have always dried away…unwiped.
Still enthrones you, the world foolish,
As the goddess of love
And convicts me as
The being who cannot feel,
A creature who cannot cry,
Your sweet poison has lasted centuries,
And still I am loyal,
On my knees,
Confounded by the spells,
Of Your Highness.
Hail the heartless woman,
Audacious and Fearless,
To declare me,
Nature’s creation without a heart.
